Mike Zuckerberg is 28 Years Old Today

I’m amazed that he is only 28 years old. Between you and me I feel like he has been 28 for like 5 years now. LOL. Anyway in the 8 years Facebook has been in existence a lot has changed in the landscape of social networking.

For starters: Myspace…what is that again?

Close to 900 million people are now within 1 click of each other.

Facebook’s presence is so felt that a movie was made about its inception. What other website you know had a movie made about itself? And it starred Justin Timberlake…’nuff said right.

There are now parody social networking sites out there…Google+ anyone? It’s basically the same thing as Facebook, just in a different outfit.

It has completely changed the way people communicate with each other, becoming one of the most popular websites of all time. Most people who have a Facebook page check it at least once a day.

And did I mention that Zuckerberg is now one of the richest men in the world, with an estimated networth of $17.5 Billion… and he’s only 28 years old. With all that money do I need to wish him a happy birthday?

What do you all think about Facebook’s rise to the top with young Zuckerberg at the helm? Sound off below.

About blackandtoldsocialmedia

At a very quick pace social media is becoming an essential part of everyday life. As a communications student at The City College of New York I am constantly learning new things about social media. With this blog I plan to spotlight social media news from a black person's perspective. No, I'm not going to get all "Black Panthers" on you but I hope to help you see the world of social media in a new light, the black light of course.
